The Wrath of the Lich King’s release date has finally been confirmed. As you will find posted on many of the big websites around, including WorldofWarcraft.com itself you will find “it’s coming” image packages posted everywhere!
The date has been set in stone for Wrath of the Lich King for November 13th of 2008. While it’s just around the corner BETA players are still actively testing and playing through the new content to give feedback to Blizzard on anything that needs to be fixed.
There are plenty of new features including and new continent: “Northrend”, The restoral of the city “Dalaran”, Brand New Raiding PvP, an Outdoor Raiding Event where you can capture and control a building, a new battleground, daily calendar, and an “achievements list” that will keep you busy with fun tasks and goals to complete in the game!
This does not include the exciting new roll out of one the titles new character class: The Death Knight! The Death knight is the games first “Hero Classes” which I hope to see as a new trend that Blizzard is starting.
The Death Knight is a very exciting class that is still being thoroughly testing on the BETA realms in hopes for a very balanced class on the lich king release date!
While right now the class still seems slightly imbalanced, we see a great fit inside the game as it already is. In both PvP and Raiding, the Death Knight adds a very exciting new role to the already advanced game play of world of warcraft.
Blizzard went far and beyond with content in this release of the expansion. Compared to their recent release of “The Burning Crusade” they will make that expansion look like a mistake! There’s plenty of new content that will drive players through exciting new stories and lore that will keep players playing for months into 2009.
The story line only continues and we can only hope to see what is next in the developing lore and storyline of World of Warcraft. November 13th will be the day where everyone will get to start the war on the Lich King and take the battle into northrend!
